Work or Summer Fun? That is the Question…
Growing a business can get exhausting, and I’m the worst about putting work first if no events are actually scheduled. When I expanded my embroidery business into digitizing I thought it would be like adding a product… the biggest obstacle in my mind was building out a design catalog. It’s really like I work two jobs though even before I consider all of the web site upkeep and social platforms. In my “down time” I’m still at work on social media posts by phone or digitizing by laptop just trying to keep things growing. (It really drives my technophobe hubby crazy at times… but mostly he tolerates it with just a grumble or roll of the eyes, bless his heart.) I sometimes feel like a hermit and hate watching the summer roll by… realizing I haven’t been to a lake or a beach or a cookout.
Anyway… This past week I actually had some hiccups in my normal work schedule but it meant I got to spend a LOT of time with ALL SIX of my grandbabies. Yes, I said six. Even with the exhaustion, it was wonderful getting to get out with my kids and their kids and have some fun… from splashing in mud puddles & picnics to arcades & water parks.
I hope you’re taking the time to enjoy your family too. Don’t forget to have a fun summer!
